For a little while on Sunday, it looked like the New York Jets were finally cooking. The connection between Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams was stronger than ever. Rodgers showed off a move or two that looked like it was from a younger version of him. The Jets held onto the ball for nearly 16 minutes in a row, from the end of the 2nd quarter through the first half of the third quarter. They were up 9-6 over the Los Angeles Rams after three entire quarters.
And then things fell apart for the Jets, as they so often have. Despite holding on to the ball for so long, they only managed to score three points on the Rams during that time. Rodgers and Adams had some communication problems. Rodgers started getting more and more banged up as the game went on.
