Former Surgeon General Jerome Adams has said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s decision to relax COVID-19 mask guidance may have been “premature” as new highly infectious variants continue to spread across the United States. Adams, who held the position under the Trump administration, said on Twitter that he is concerned that the CDC may have been rash when in May it announced it was relaxing mask recommendations for fully vaccinated Americans. His remarks come amid a surge in COVID-19 cases caused by the Delta variant of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, which causes the disease COVID-19. “Last year, Tony Fauci and I famously, prematurely, & wrongly advised against masks.
