Letter to the Editor: Vaccine Mandates for State Prison Employees

My name is Bernice Molano and I have been an employee of the state of California for five years. I work at a state prison that is currently attempting to mandate the EUA COVID-19 vaccine. I am fully aware of the recently “approved” vaccine, which in my research I determined is only for the Comirnaty version, which my employer does not have/provide and which, per the FDA, can be used interchangeably with the EUA vaccines, which completely nullifies the approval; therefore, the approval is deceptive. I understand mandates violate my rights under the Nuremberg Code and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, since I never gave informed consent, and since my employer can attempt to potentially disregard my sincerely held religious beliefs.
