The delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza has been paused because of looting by armed gangs. The key crossing site of aid into Gaza at Kerem Shalom has been considered “unsafe for months” and “at this point requires a pause,” according to UNRWA head Philippe Lazzarini in a post on 𝕏.

A large number of convoy vehicles were stolen by gangs at the Kerem Shalom crossing on Nov. 16, and with the recent attempt to bring in more aid having the same fate, UN officials made the “difficult decision” to hit pause on the aid deliveries.

11:35 – Lebanese media report Israeli artillery fire in southern Lebanon

The Hezbollah-affiliated news site al-Akhbar reported Israeli artillery shelling on the outskirts of Aitaroun and the northern outskirts of Al-Khiam in southern Lebanon. It also reported explosions near the towns of Yaroun and Maroun in southern Lebanon.

09:25 – Fragments from interceptor reported in Tzur Hadassah following ballistic missile interception

Following the interception of the ballistic missile launched from Yemen, fragments from the interception fell in the community of Tzur Hadassah near Jerusalem. No alarms were activated. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) is investigating the incident.

A spokesperson for Tzur Hadassah said: “Although the launch and interception were not in our area and therefore no alarm was activated, shrapnel fell in the community at the Keshet playground. Forces arrived at the scene, the fence and grass sustained minor damage and the issue is being dealt with.”

Palestinian authorities in Hebron also reported interceptor fragments falling in the Arab town of Halhul near Hebron. No injuries were reported.

08:30 – Palestinians report Israeli airstrike near Jenin

According to Palestinian reports, four militants were killed in the airstrike south of Jenin in the region of Samaria. The IAF attack targeted a squad that had been under surveillance for several weeks. Palestinian Authority-affiliated Wafa News reported that the vehicle containing the four militants was struck as it left the town of Sir near Jenin, killing the terrorists.

06:30 – Alarms sound in central Israel following ballistic missile launch from Yemen

The IAF intercepted a ballistic missile launched from Yemen using the Arrow missile defense system. Sirens sounded in several communities throughout central Israel. IAF fighter jets intercepted the missile before any physical damage was caused. Four people were injured while fleeing to a protected space.

Iranian Ambassador to Syria Hossein Akbari said the rebel attacks against President Bashar al-Assad’s army were a result of the Lebanon ceasefire. “There is a clear connection between the terrorist attacks in Syria and Israel’s defeat in Lebanon,” he said.
