Lev Posherstnik, a Holocaust survivor who lived through the horrors of the Minsk ghetto, shares his powerful story of survival, loss, and resilience. Now 92 years old and living in Israel for the past 28 years, Lev reflects on his life during one of history’s darkest periods.
“When the war started, I was 9 years old,” Lev recalls. Forced into the ghetto with his family, he endured unimaginable tragedies. His grandfather was brutally killed by German soldiers, and his mother, who tried to escape persecution by changing her identity, was arrested and murdered.
