Ahead of his Twitter purchase, Elon Musk had been publicly ruminating on changes to the social media platform. Now that he’s buying it, rolling them out should be a breeze.
On Monday, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO won his $44 billion bid to buy Twitter and take it private. Musk, who is also Twitter’s 8th most-followed user, said he wants to make the platform “better than ever”, calling it “the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated.”
It’s unclear whether his plans include any of his previous suggestions, which ranged from the serious—lowering the price of Twitter’s subscription offering, Twitter Blue—to the strange (and misogynistic)—changing the company’s name to “Titter”.
