Recalled lithium-ion batteries require special handling and must not be disposed of in regular trash or recycling bins. Please dispose of your device in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations by taking it to a municipal Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection center that accepts recalled lithium-ion batteries. It’s recommended to confirm with the facility in advance whether they accept lithium-ion battery-powered devices from recall programs. (Click here to find the location and contact information of an HHW collection center near you.) If it does not, contact your municipality for further guidance.
