The Israel Defense Forces released on Tuesday a video clip showing terrorists recently posing as members of the humanitarian organization, World Central Kitchen (WCK).
“The terrorists deliberately attached the [WCK] emblem and wore yellow vests in an attempt to disguise their activities and avoid being targeted, cynically exploiting the status and trust given to aid organizations,” the IDF stated.
The Israeli military further revealed that representatives of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) “verified the information with the WCK, confirming that the vehicle seen in Gaza with the organization’s emblem had no connection to its activities.”
Hamas operatives have systematically embedded themselves among civilians in Gaza and exploited hospitals, schools, mosques, residential buildings and humanitarian NGOs as a cover for their operations against Israel. In some cases, Hamas operatives were employed by various civilian organizations, such as the WCK.
Last December, the Israeli military eliminated the Hamas terrorist Ahed Azmi Qudeih, who was simultaneously employed by the WCK . Qudeih participated in the Hamas massacre in Kibbutz Nir Oz on Oct. 7, 2023. The humanitarian organization said it was not aware of his terrorist activities.
However, the Qudeih case turned out to be part of a wider pattern where Hamas operatives infiltrate various international organizations.
In December 2024, the WCK fired dozens of workers in Gaza after the IDF exposed their ties to Hamas and other terrorist organizations. At the time, the NGO stressed that it was not certain that the individuals were indeed affiliated with terrorism.
“This should not be taken as a conclusion by WCK that the individuals are affiliated with any terror organization,” the WCK stated, adding that Israel had not shared intelligence that linked the individuals to terrorism.
Israel has estimated that at least 10% of UNRWA’s employees are members of Hamas or other terrorist organizations. Last year, Israel shared intelligence that showed that multiple employees of the UN relief agency had directly and indirectly participated in the Hamas massacre in Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
Meanwhile, Western nations and the United Arab Emirates air-dropped 97 tons of food into the Gaza Strip earlier this week. In addition, approximately 300 trucks transported aid into the coastal enclave on Monday.
For the first time, Italy and Greece participated in the multinational humanitarian airdrop efforts. Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke told media representatives that Denmark also intends to join the airdrop aid in the near future.
The Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry claims that over 60,000 people have been killed in Gaza. However, Hamas is known to inflate casualty figures and does not differentiate between civilians and armed combatants.
At the start of 2025, the Israeli military estimated that about 20,000 Hamas and other militia members had been killed in Gaza since the war began. In recent months, Israeli forces have eliminated a large number of terrorists across the Strip.
The Iron Swords War began on Oct. 7, 2023, when Hamas terrorists invaded southern Israel, killing 1,200 people and kidnapping 251 from their homes and the Nova Music Festival. Around 1,600 terrorists were killed in the fighting that day inside Israel. Since then, over 400 IDF soldiers have been killed in operations in Gaza against Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups.
