Snack brand Truly Nuts to be launched in WHSmith

The snack brand Truly Nuts is rolling out across 146 WHSmith travel stores around the UK, often located in airports. The brand, which powers its Peru factory using the shells of Brazil nuts, is, according to the company, the first to successfully flavour Brazil nuts.

The nuts, which come in flavours such as Milk Chocolate Brazil Nuts, Smoked Mixed Nuts, Salted Almonds, and Chili Mixed Nuts, are also available to buy from the company website.

“We are thrilled to team up with WHSmith to bring Truly Nuts to consumers across the UK. Our mission has always been to provide nutritious snacks, and WHSmith shares our values, commitment to sustainability, and dedication to healthier snacking options. In today’s world, where choosing a snack can also mean contributing to the restoration of the Amazon, having that choice is incredibly important,” said Gareth Lloyd, co-founder and CEO of Truly Nuts.

The nuts are available at an RRP of £3.99 per 120g pack, and are also available in 30g packs.

Twinings release new fruit coolers flavours

Classic British tea brand Twinings has released new flavours of the fruit coolers range, its fruit flavoured range which can be enjoyed hot or cold, perfect for the hot weather that many of us are experiencing. The new flavours, Peach and Tropical, are available from Amazon, Waitrose and Tesco now, and in Sainsbury’s from 21 August.

The tea is caffeine-free, and also low in calories, with only four per 200ml serving. To serve, boil a teabag in some water for three minutes, then cool it down with some ice if you wish.

“Our aim for everything here at Trewithen Dairy is Delicious Dairy, Done Right. The time was definitely right to invest in the brand and create a new look which is eye catching in the dairy aisle. Strengthening the messaging around the credentials of our dairy coveys to consumers that there is no compromise on quality here at Trewithen Dairy and our three new yoghurt SKUs are an absolute testament to this. They took a while to perfect, but we know that taste is by far the most important factor when choosing yoghurt and consumers will be able to taste the work our development team have put into the range,” said Trewithen managing director Francis Clarke.

The 450g pots are available in Ocado, Waitrose, Tesco, ASDA, and SPAR at an RRP from £2.15.

Mushroom-based coffee alternative launched

UK-based brand Vybey has launched a new mushroom-based coffee alternative. The alternative, Braincare Smart Focus, aims to help disperse brain fog without any of the negative affects of coffee.

The product is made from lion’s mane, which the brand suggests improves concentration and brain health; maca root, which it says increases energy and endurance; chaga mushroom, which it suggests is a powerful antioxidant; and turmeric, which it says reduces inflammation. The alternative comes in two flavours: cacao and matcha. It is, according to Vybey, ‘powered by nootropics and adaptogens.’

“Breakfast is an untapped eating occasion offering so much scope for genuinely holistic brands to prosper,“ said Vybey co-founder Gordon Belch.

“From Day.1 Vybey’s snowballing status as a category disruptor meant it was well placed to extend its reach beyond basic nutrition to also encompass brain health.”
