Season 16, Episode 5 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers’ health ahead of an off day at training camp. We discuss Steelers OLB Alex Highsmith and his groin injury history and CB Cory Trice Jr. being sidelined again by yet another injury.
Alex and I look at the Steelers’ biggest depth needs at this point of the summer and that includes a deeper dive into the tackle position. We also discuss the potential need for another wide receiver and if the team will even consider adding another veteran at some point prior to the 2025 regular season getting underway.
Steelers TE Darnell Washington was asked recently if he would consider moving to tackle at some point down the road so Alex and I discuss what he had to say about that, and probability of such a position move ever happening. The Steelers used ILB Mark Robinson at fullback during Sunday’s training camp practice, so Alex and I discuss that little tidbit.
How many times will we see the Steelers use four tight ends in 2025? Alex and I address that question during this show. We also discuss several different players on the Steelers’ roster with training camp now over halfway completed.
Should there be a lot of concern about the Steelers’ offense the way the unit has looked so far during training camp? We address that question later in this show and also how much, if at all, QB Aaron Rodgers will play in the team’s first preseason game this coming Saturday night.
We wind this show down by discussing several players we look forward to watching in the first preseason game.
