Arch Manning—one of the top high school football players in the U.S. and the nephew of former NFL quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning—announced Thursday he has committed to play for the University of Texas at Austin next year.

His decision to head to Austin after he graduates in 2023 comes after he fielded offers from some of the nation’s biggest football programs, including Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU and Virginia.
Manning is a junior at the Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, Louisiana–the same high school his uncles attended–and threw for 5,731 yards and 72 touchdowns in his first three years, according to ESPN.

Manning comes from a dynasty of football stars. His grandfather, Elisha Archibald Manning III, played in the NFL for 13 seasons, most of which he spent with the New Orleans Saints. Manning’s father, Cooper Manning, committed to play football for the University of Mississippi before he was diagnosed with spinal stenosis at age 18 and retired from the sport. Peyton Manning played in the NFL for 14 seasons, won two Super Bowls and is considered among the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Eli Manning played for the New York Giants and also won two Super Bowl rings.
