Black Friday deals live: sales on Apple, Samsung, Xbox, Keurig, and much more

Must Read

Certain colors of Samsung phones are much cheaper than others

If you want to get absolutely the most bang for your buck during Amazon’s Black Friday sale, sometimes it pays to pick a less popular color. With certain Samsung phones, browsing the color and storage options might net you a surprisingly good deal amongst already solid discounts.

Take for instance the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, one of our favorite Samsung phones and probably the coolest folding phone you can buy right now. If you want a fancy color like the dazzling bora purple option, you can get the Galaxy Z Flip 4 for $200 off at Amazon. If you settle for the more boring graphite dark grey, you can upgrade to the 256GB storage and still get it even cheaper, $300 the Galaxy Z Flip 4 for Amazon Black Friday.

If you’re looking for a more normal device, the Galaxy S22 is $100 on Amazon right now for the black, white, or purple models. If you go for the pink device, not only can you get it cheaper, you can again upgrade to 256GB storage for even less money. The pink gold Galaxy S22 is $200 on Amazon for Black Friday.

While most of the best Samsung phones are getting a price cut for Amazon’s Black Friday deals, it pays to browse around amongst the different color and storage options, because surprisingly good discounts can be found even deeper down the rabbit hole.

(Image credit: Future)Amazon finally drops Kindle prices to match Best Buy Black Friday deals

Until Amazon kicked off its latest round of Black Friday deals, it wasn’t the best place to buy a brand new Kindle ereader right now. Best Buy was offering the lowest prices we’ve seen on Kindle Oasis, Kindle Paperwhite, and Kids versions of your favorite Kindle models. Thankfully, Amazon has finally dropped its Kindle prices to match.

You won’t find a better deal than a Kindle Paperwhite at Amazon for $94.99, saving $45 on a water resistant, bright reader that is one of our favorite Kindle picks. Of course, Best Buy has the same price, but if you’re an Amazon Prime member or you’ve already got a full shopping cart, you can rest assured Amazon’s price is just as good.

The Kindle Oasis gets a hefty price cut as well. Amazon has a $95 discount on the Kindle Oasis, the brightest and best-designed ereader of the Kindle bunch. It’s water resistant with plenty of storage. There is even a discount on the Oasis with unlimited AT&T networking, in case you really need to download more books on the road.

If you opt for a Kindle Paperwhite Kids for $104.99, down $55 from $159.99, you’ll get a kid-friendly cover as well as a year subscription to Amazon Kids+. If you’re looking for new reading option for a serious junior reader, this is a great deal that is worth the extra for the cover alone.

(Image credit: TechRadar)Beats Powerbeats Pro and other Beats wireless are on a super sale

The Beats Powerbeats Pro are a bit larger than your normal wireless earbuds, and that’s one of the reasons we like them so much. You can get them at Amazon now at the lowest price we’ve seen, as the Powerbeats Pro are $100 off at $149.95.

The larger earbuds are harder to lose, plus you get great battery life and a comfortable fit. Because Beats is owned by Apple, the Beats earbuds all pair perfectly with an iPhone, just like a pair of AirPods. Android fans shouldn’t fear, these Beats headphones work great with your phone as well, they just won’t pair automatically.

You can also find smaller Beats wireless earbuds on sale for under $100. The Beats Studio Buds are $50 at $99.99, and they give you active noise canceling and plenty of battery life for workouts or travel. They are sweat proof and come in a range of color options.

The Beats Fit Pro get a more modest $20 discount for a $179.95 price, which is only $20 higher than the lowest price we’ve seen for these earbuds. The Beats Fit Pro have active noise canceling to block out gym noises, and they’re sweat proof as well. The Fit Pro earbuds also work with Siri, making it easier to switch connections between multiple Apple devices.

(Image credit: Future)Samsung’s cheapest tablet is now under $100

Philip Berne, US Mobiles Editor

We know that Amazon is the best place for cheap Amazon Fire tablets, but now you can get a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite for $99.99, the cheapest price we’ve seen on Samsung’s most bargain-conscious tab.

The Galaxy Tab A7 Lite gives you an 8.7-inch display and 3GB of memory, as much RAM as Amazon’s upgraded Fire HD 8 Plus tablet, so all of your basic games and apps should run smoothly. You’ll find all of the streaming services you need on Google Play.

Unlike Amazon Fire tablets, which also run Android, Samsung Galaxy Tab devices aren’t locked out of Google Play services. That means you’ll get Gmail, Google Photos, and the entire Google Play Store. You won’t find that on a cheap Amazon Fire HD 8.

Having all of Google’s services available, as well as the universe of the Google Play Store, makes the Samsung Galaxy Tab a much better pick over a comparable Amazon Fire tablet. That’s why Galaxy tablets usually cost more, so this Amazon Black Friday tablet deal is worth a look if you need a better bargain tablet.

(Image credit: Future)Save big on gaming laptops this Black Friday

We’ve already seen some great discounts from Amazon on a wide range of gaming laptops this Black Friday, from sensibly-priced systems to high-end powerhouse gaming machines.

Take the Alienware M15 R7, a beast of a laptop equipped with a speedy AMD Ryzen 9 processor and the excellent RTX 3070 Ti GPU. It’s $2,040 at Amazon right now, more than $500 off the retail price. In our review, we praised the high performance but worried about the price – well, our worries have been dissipated.

If you’re more in the market for a budget gaming system, you might be more interested in the IdeaPad Gaming 3 from Lenovo. This little laptop uses the RTX 3050 – not the most powerful GPU in the world, but perfectly capable of handling some casual gaming at 1080p resolution. It’s just $600 on Amazon, the cheapest it’s ever been sold for.

Remember, if you want access to a wealth of games on your Windows laptop, you can subscribe to Microsoft’s Game Pass for instant access to a tonne of fantastic titles. Many gaming laptops will come with a free trial for the service, so be sure to check it out if you buy a new gaming laptop this Black Friday.

If neither of the laptops below takes, you can check out our full list of the best Black Friday gaming laptop deals instead!

(Image credit: Future)The 2022 Apple MacBook Air is already discounted for Black Friday!

Christian Guyton, Computing Editor

It’s not even six months old yet, but the new Apple MacBook Air (M2, 2022) is already on sale this Black Friday. Amazon doesn’t have much in terms of Apple laptop deals, but Best Buy has the 256GB model available for $1,049 – that’s $150 off the retail price, the cheapest this new MacBook Air has been sold for since its launch earlier this year.

While it’s naturally more expensive than the 2020 model (which uses the Apple M1 chip), the M2 MacBook Air is a sound choice for anyone looking to buy a future-proof Apple laptop.

If you’re not too fussed about processing power, you can pick up a 2020 Intel-powered model from Best Buy too, now reduced to a very respectable $570. M1 models seem to be in short supply right now thanks to some excellent sales, but good old Best Buy still has the 2020 M1 model for just $800.

(Image credit: bbc)Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has some surprising Black Friday advice for prospective shoppers: slow things down a little.

When asked by CNN (via The Telegraph (opens in new tab)) whether people should carry on as normal or if they should “batten down the hatches” with the increasingly difficult financial situation many of us are finding ourselves in, Jeff Bezos said that people should “take some risk off the table.”

He added, “If you’re an individual and you’re thinking about buying a new large-screen TV, maybe slow that down. Keep that cash, see what happens. Same thing with a refrigerator or a new car, or whatever.”

While that advice is certainly nothing groundbreaking, it is interesting to hear it coming from the founder of the world’s largest online retailer ahead of the biggest shopping event of the year. Even more so considering that Amazon has faced a much more difficult year than normal – now more than ever it likely needs shoppers browsing its Black Friday deals.

Regardless of his reasoning behind the statement, Bezos’ words ring true; with energy prices and inflation on the rise money is tight and we’d definitely recommend thinking twice before buying a new gadget. If it is something you desperately need then Black Friday is a great time to pick it up at a bargain price, but if you can hold off for a few more months or even another year you likely won’t regret it.

Though for those of you looking for a bargain we’ll be here to collect all of the best deals we can find online.

(Image credit: Apple)Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 just dropped to $198; get ’em while you can!

Matt Bolton, Managing Editor (Entertainment)

This is not a drill! The best-ever deal on Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 just dropped but you’ll want to act fast as it’s only going to last for one day (or until stock runs out). Right now you can get the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen for just $197.99 at Woot (opens in new tab), instead of their usual $249 (saving you $52).

This might not be the biggest discount you’ll see this Black Friday but it is one of the best simply because the AirPods Pro 2 are so new. For under $200, I don’t think any other earbuds come close to matching these value-wise. We’ve written about several of the best Black Friday earbuds deals from other brands and seen their earbuds drop to prices around this but the AirPods Pro 2 outperform them.
