Following a gathering of Messianic leaders in Israel held at the southern Kibbutz Sde Boker in early April, a group of these leaders collaborated to record another version of the Isaiah 61 Prayer Song, appealing to God for the liberation of the remaining hostages in Gaza.

Filmed near the historical site where Israel’s first prime minister, David Ben-Gurion, retired, the video symbolizes the prayers of the Messianic community in Israel for the liberation of the remaining hostages.

Sde Boker is located in the Negev Desert in southern Israel. The community was founded in 1952 by a number of pioneering families hoping to make the desert bloom.

Their efforts attracted the attention of Ben-Gurion, who was visiting the nearby geological formation of Mitzpe Ramon.

After leaving office, he chose to retire to Sde Boker and sought to become a member of the kibbutz. Today, his former residence has been transformed into a museum.

For many Israelis, the site of Sde Boker embodies the fulfillment of God’s promise to make the desert bloom, as described in Isaiah 35:1-2.

“The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus; it shall blossom abundantly and rejoice with joy and singing.” (Isaiah 35:1-2 ESV)

In the dry, desert environment, overlooking the fulfillment of one prophecy from Isaiah, these Israeli Messianic leaders gathered together to call on God for the fulfillment of another prophecy, the release of the captives.
