A Real Madrid star has revealed that he would like to retire at the club in an interview with Telefoot .

Eduardo Camavinga joined Los Blancos from Rennes in 2021 as part of a deal worth $34 million (€31 million), and has proved to be a roaring success in the Spanish capital thus far.

His first season saw him win a La Liga and Champions League double, and in November last year, president Florentino Perez extended the 21-year-old’s contract until mid-2029.

If the France international has anything to do with it, however, he will be at the 14-time European kings for life as is his wish revealed in a recent interview with Telefoot – even if that means playing between the sticks.

“Even if they make me play as a goalkeeper, I’m going to play as a goalkeeper!” said the midfielder, who has memorably helped the cause at full back for head coach Carlo Ancelotti when asked while doing a sterling job.

“If I can finish my career at Real Madrid? Of course, I want to end my [sporting] life here. Real Madrid is everyone’s dream,” Camavinga also said.

To have a chance at achieving something few have managed, Camavinga knows he will have to remain in impeccable physical shape.

“I have many examples in football, like Cristiano Ronaldo. The most important thing is to have longevity in football, and that means working in the gym and taking care of the body,” he said.

On renowned man-management expert Ancelotti, Camavinga revealed that the Italian has “told me he is going to dance with me when I score my next goal”.

“I don’t know when, but he’s going to dance,” Camavinga insisted.

As Madrid heads into the business end of the season, Camavinga explained how he knows he has won seven titles in the Spanish capital so far “because sometimes I go on the internet to check it and I see it”.

“The goal is to win everything: La Liga and the Champions League. You have to take it all,” he stressed.

Guaranteed to represent Les Bleus at the European Championships in Germany this summer, Camavinga highlighted that the tournament is the “goal of all French people”.

“And the [Paris] Olympics – that’s still a goal too. Let’s think about the European Championships and then we’ll position ourselves for the Olympics.

“If we win the European Championship? I’ll dye my dreadlocks in blue, white, and red,” he vowed.
